John Lewis operates 34 shops plus one outlet across the UK as well as johnlewis.com. Waitrose has 331 shops in England, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands, including 59 convenience branches, and another 27 shops at Welcome Break locations. The retailer’s omnichannel business includes the online grocery service, Waitrose.com, as well as specialist online shops including waitrosecellar.com for wine and waitroseflorist.com for plants and flowers.
The John Lewis Partnership Supply Chain is happy to support ‘The Big Logistics Diversity Challenge 2023’ as it aligns with our ambition to maintain a high level of focus on D&I across the Supply Chain Network.
To achieve this, we have identified a D&I assignment in Supply Chain to focus on identifying best practices, working with the Leadership Team, creating new initiatives & establishing a longer term D&I Supply Chain strategy. This work allows our Partners to continue to feel heard & supported in all aspects of diversity, inclusion & wellbeing regardless of their protected characteristics. Alongside our ambition to improve D&I across our Network, we are also focusing on ensuring the culture across all of our sites is aligned so that our Partners feel the environment allows them to be themselves; understanding how other Distribution companies are achieving this would be an added benefit here.
